Insta360 launches Luna Pro gimbal camera with Leica optics

Insta360 has officially launched the Luna Pro globally, a single-lens gimbal camera designed for vloggers and content creators. Positioned as a more accessible alternative to the dual-lens Luna Ultra, the Pro model features a 1-inch sensor paired with a Leica Summicron lens, capable of recording video up to 8K resolution with Dolby Vision support.

The device utilizes a dual-chip AI architecture, including a 4nm processor, to manage image processing and intelligent features like subject tracking. Key technical specifications include 3-axis stabilization, 10-bit I-Log support, and the ability to capture native 4K vertical video at 30fps via 6K oversampling, specifically optimized for social media platforms. It also offers slow-motion capabilities up to 4K at 120fps.

Hardware features include a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen that functions as a remote control, up to four hours of battery life, and 47GB of internal storage. The camera is available in Cosmic Black and Stellar White, with global pricing starting around 529 to 599 euros/dollars depending on the region and bundle. While it lacks the dedicated telephoto lens found in the Ultra model, it compensates with up to 4x HighRes digital zoom.
