Insta360 Luna Ultra 3D Design Contest Launches with Bambu Lab
Insta360 and 3‑D printer maker Bambu Lab have partnered to release official STL and 3MF design files for the Insta360 Luna Ultra gimbal camera. The files are available on MakerWorld, where an international design contest runs until 9 August 2026. Participants may submit a 3‑D‑printed accessory or a concept sketch in two tracks – a Model Design Challenge and a Social Content Challenge – using the hashtags #PrintForLuna, #BambuLab and #Insta360LunaUltra.
The contest offers a prize pool of $11,160, with 40 winners receiving Luna Ultra bundles, Bambu Lab X2D or A2L printers, store coupons and other goodies. Winners may also see their designs developed into commercial products by Insta360 and Bambu Lab. The Luna Ultra camera features a compact three‑axis gimbal, 8K video capture, dual Leica lenses, a detachable two‑inch OLED screen and up to four hours of battery life, making it a versatile platform for creator‑focused accessories.
The initiative aims to empower makers to create precision‑fit accessories such as mounts, cases, handles or functional add‑ons, reducing the need for manual measurements and prototyping. Open to creators worldwide, the contest encourages both technical innovation and creative ideas, with the top concepts highlighted on the MakerWorld platform.
