Insta360 Luna Ultra launches with Leica optics and 8K video recording

Insta360 has introduced the Luna Ultra, a dual‑lens vlogging camera that pairs a 1‑inch main sensor with a 1.3‑inch telephoto unit and Leica Summicron optics. The camera offers 8K video at 30 fps, 4K at up to 120 fps, Dolby Vision HDR, 10‑bit I‑Log, and a four‑microphone array for improved audio. A detachable 2‑inch touchscreen can be used as a remote monitor up to 20 m away, and the device features a 3‑axis mechanical stabiliser enhanced by Deep Track 5.

The Luna Ultra is being sold in the Philippines in two bundles: a Standard Bundle for ₱46,790 and a Creator Bundle for ₱58,490. It ships in Cosmic Black and Stellar White, weighs 235 g, and includes 47 GB of internal storage with support for microSD cards up to 1 TB. Reviewers note that its larger sensors and loss‑less zoom give it advantages over flagship smartphones in low‑light performance and depth rendering, though the phone remains more convenient and cost‑free for many creators.
