Insta360 X6 leaks reveal larger sensors, 8K 50 fps video and higher price
Leaked specifications indicate that the upcoming Insta360 X6 360° action camera will use two 1/1.1‑inch image sensors, each delivering 42 MP stills and up to 120 MP in combined 360‑photo mode. Video performance jumps to 8K resolution at 50 fps in the standard 360‑mode, with an 8K 30 fps PureVideo option and single‑lens modes supporting up to 5K 60 fps or 4K 120 fps. The camera also adds 11K timelapse capture, 10‑bit colour, Dolby Vision, I‑Log and Adaptive Tone 2.0 for improved dynamic range.
The design becomes more compact – roughly 10 × 5 × 4 cm and 195 g – with a side‑mounted touchscreen OLED display rated at 1200 nits. Battery capacity increases to 2600 mAh, extending recording time to about 233 minutes. Pricing is expected at around €689 for the base model and €789 for an Essentials bundle. The device has already passed FCC certification and is slated for launch between late August and mid‑September 2026.
