INSTIPER Yogyakarta welcomes 1,135 new students
INSTIPER Yogyakarta has welcomed 1,135 new students for the 2026/2027 academic year, marking a 20.8% increase from the previous year. The new cohort includes 1,058 undergraduate students and 77 postgraduate students representing 28 Indonesian provinces.
Among the new students, 150 are recipients of the Palm Oil Human Resources (SDM PKS) scholarship, a program facilitated by the Ministry of Agriculture's Directorate General of Plantations and the Palm Oil Fund Management Agency (BPDP). This initiative aims to develop skilled talent to support the national palm oil industry.
In total, 329 students (approximately 29% of the new intake) received scholarships. The Faculty of Agriculture remains the largest department with 766 students, followed by the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Faculty of Forestry. Students originated primarily from North Sumatra, Riau, Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, and Central Java.
