Institut Nacional de l’Habitatge expands renewable energy certification
The Institut Nacional de l’Habitatge (INH) has expanded its use of renewable energy by applying the ‘Llum Verda’ seal from FEDA to six additional buildings within its public housing stock. This certification, which the organization first obtained for its headquarters in 2024, verifies that the electricity consumed is sourced from renewable origins.
The newly included buildings are located in Andorra la Vella, Encamp, Canillo, and Terra Vella. According to the INH, the certification covers a volume of 174,606 kWh, which is expected to result in a reduction of 21,651.14 kilograms of CO2. The organization equates this carbon footprint reduction to the annual absorption capacity of approximately 1,000 trees.
