Institute of Accountancy Arusha wins national financial management award
The Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) has received a national award for ‘Best Financial Management Performance – Non-Commercial Entities’. The recognition was presented during the CEOs Forum meeting held at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC).
Dr. Mwamini Tulli, Chairperson of the IAA Governing Council, received the award from Tanzania’s Vice President, Deogratias Ndejembi. IAA Principal, Prof. Eliaman Sedoyeka, attributed the achievement to the institution’s strategic efforts to improve financial collection and expenditure efficiency following government directives.
In addition to financial milestones, Prof. Sedoyeka noted that the institution is updating its curricula in fields such as finance, administration, insurance, tourism, and logistics to better prepare youth for employment and entrepreneurship. The college reported that its programs have already supported the establishment of 20 formal companies and over 50 informal businesses.
