Institute of Chartered Accountants of India launches feedback drive and exam exemption surrender tool

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has begun a comprehensive review of its Chartered Accountancy Scheme of Education and Training. The Board of Studies (Academic) is inviting feedback from members, students, industry professionals and academicians through an online form that will remain open until 18 August 2026, with the aim of keeping the CA curriculum contemporary, globally benchmarked and professionally relevant.

In parallel, ICAI has introduced an online facility that allows candidates to voluntarily surrender any exemptions they hold for the CA Intermediate and Final examinations. The service is available via the Self Service Portal under “Exam Functions,” with cut‑off dates of 5 August 2026 for the Intermediate exam and 30 September 2026 for the Final exam. The measure, signed by Joint Secretary (Examinations) Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, is intended to improve transparency, flexibility and efficiency in the examination process.
