Institute of Hygiene launches cancer prevention and wellness program
A public health program implemented through a project by the Institute of Hygiene focuses on providing integrated, science-based health services to specific target groups. The initiative emphasizes cancer risk factors, healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and emotional well-being.
The program specifically targets adults in cancer prevention groups, individuals diagnosed with cancer, and their relatives. Activities include meetings with psychologists to address stress management and emotional balance, as well as sessions with lifestyle medicine specialists to discuss the impact of psychoactive substances, physical inactivity, and nutrition on health.
Additionally, the program included wellness camps, such as one held from August 24–27, designed to provide respite and support for those affected by oncological diseases and their families.
