Institute of Military History and Culture announces 18th annual course

The Institute of Military History and Culture of the Army is organizing its 18th annual Introduction to Spanish Military History course. The program is scheduled to run from October 19 to November 18, 2026.

Designed for both civilians and military personnel, the course covers Spanish military history from the pre-Roman era to the present day. The curriculum includes practical activities such as visits to the Central Military Library and the General Military Archive in Madrid, as well as a battlefield reconnaissance trip to Uclés.

Students enrolled from the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Castilla La Mancha can receive university credits for the course. Participation is available in both in-person and distance learning formats.
