Institute of National Remembrance honors individuals in Wrocław

During the Lower Silesian National Memory Congress held in Wrocław, the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) presented several honors to individuals and institutions dedicated to preserving Poland's recent history and national heritage.

Among the recipients was Beata Moskal-Słaniewska, the President of Świdnica, who was awarded the Gold Medal ‘Reipublicae Memoriae Meritum’. The IPN cited her long-term cooperation with the Institute and her support for educational and exhibition projects, including the establishment of a Regional History Stop in Świdnica in 2024.

Tadeusz Grabowski, President of the Świdnica Patriotic Association, received the ‘Witness to History’ Honorary Award for his work in commemorating victims of Katyn, Siberian exiles, and heroes of the Warsaw Uprising. Other honors presented during the ceremony included the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity.
