Institute of Sports Medicine to host 60th anniversary scientific conference

The Institute of Sports Medicine (IMD) will host a scientific conference from December 2 to 4 to celebrate its 60th anniversary. The event, which commemorates the institution's founding on December 1, 1966, will focus on physical activity sciences.

According to Dr. Leonel Rubén Suárez, the subdirector of the center, the academic meeting will be organized around two primary themes: health and sport in the global era, and the future of human performance. The program includes 20 topics intended to facilitate the exchange of practical experiences and knowledge. Additionally, the event will recognize various specialists, scientists, and retirees, with specific recognition for the institution's 11 Doctors of Medical Sciences.
