Institutional investors boost holdings in H&R Block and Host Hotels

Lodge Hill Capital LLC increased its stake in H&R Block, Inc. by 31.2% during the first quarter, bringing its ownership to 1,050,000 shares, about 0.83% of the company and worth roughly $33.3 million. The investment now ranks as Lodge Hill’s fifth‑largest holding. Other firms such as Los Angeles Capital Management, Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management, Valley National Advisers, Spire Wealth Management and Signaturefd LLC also added modest positions in H&R Block during the past quarters.

First Trust Advisors LP raised its holding in Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. by 16.1% in the first quarter, ending with 919,035 shares, representing about 0.13% of the REIT and valued at $17.6 million. Additional investors, including Zions Bancorporation, Cyber Hornet ETFs, SJS Investment Consulting, MUFG Securities EMEA and Cedar Mountain Advisors, reported new or increased stakes, though at much smaller scale. Institutional investors collectively own the majority of both companies' shares.
