Institutional Investors Boost Stakes in Costco Wholesale

In the first quarter, Summitry LLC increased its holding in Costco Wholesale Corporation by 233.6%, purchasing 1,112 shares to bring its total to 1,588 shares valued at roughly $1.58 million.

Groupama Asset Management also raised its position, adding 2,060 shares for a 11.7% increase and ending the quarter with 19,627 shares worth about $19.6 million. Filings show that hedge funds and other institutional investors together own approximately 68.5% of Costco’s outstanding stock.
