Institutional Investors Cut Stakes in Group 1 Automotive and HCI Group

HSBC Holdings PLC reduced its holding in Group 1 Automotive, Inc. by 40.4% in the first quarter, selling 5,273 shares and ending the period with 7,773 shares, equal to about 0.07% of the company (approximately $2.6 million).

Principal Financial Group Inc. trimmed its position in HCI Group, Inc. by 37.8% during the same quarter, divesting 31,861 shares and retaining 52,509 shares, representing roughly 0.41% of HCI Group (about $8.1 million). Both filings show that institutional investors collectively own more than 99% of the outstanding shares of each company.
