Institutional investors drive market shifts amid AI and crypto developments

Institutional investors are increasingly driving the stock market, displacing retail traders who previously dominated market dips. Data from Vanda Research indicates that options orders from large investors are currently approximately three times higher than a typical September. This shift coincides with rising US 10-year and 30-year Treasury yields reaching decade-high levels.

In the technology sector, artificial intelligence remains a primary focus for market bets, with Meta seeing significant gains. Meanwhile, in the cryptocurrency sector, Cardano is undergoing strategic developments despite a pause in its recent price rally. Cardano is focusing on the Midnight privacy platform, which utilizes zero-knowledge proofs to enable compliant DeFi applications. Additionally, founder Charles Hoskinson is pushing for deeper integration between Cardano and artificial intelligence through the x402-SDK, allowing AI agents to make API calls using ADA or other tokens.
