Institutional Investors Increase Stakes in Diamondback Energy
Goehring & Rozencwajg Associates LLC added 28,246 shares of Diamondback Energy (NASDAQ:FANG) in the first quarter, raising its holding to 113,489 shares valued at roughly $22.4 million, about 1.2 % of the firm's portfolio. Barings LLC also bought a new position of 38,099 shares, worth about $7.5 million. Several other hedge funds and institutions, including Boston Partners, Geode Capital Management, Bank of New York Mellon and Capital Research Global Investors, reported modest increases in their Diamondback holdings during recent quarters. Institutional investors now own about 90 % of the company's stock. Insider sales continued, with directors Mark Lawrence Plaumann and Charles Alvin Meloy collectively disposing of over 80,000 shares in June. Diamondback Energy recently paid a quarterly dividend of $1.10 per share, an annualized $4.40 with a 2.3 % yield.
