Institutional investors increase stakes in Nucor Corporation

Dutch bank ING Groep NV raised its holding in U.S. steelmaker Nucor Corporation by 59,704 shares in the fourth quarter, bringing its total to 89,377 shares valued at approximately $14.6 million. U.S. investment firm O Shaughnessy Asset Management also increased its stake, buying an additional 4,179 shares to own 151,141 shares worth about $24.7 million, roughly 0.07% of the company.

Together with other hedge funds, these investors now own about 76.5% of Nucor’s stock. Nucor’s shares opened at $253.38, with a market capitalization of $57.7 billion. The company reported fourth‑quarter earnings of $3.23 per share on $9.5 billion of revenue, beating analyst forecasts and posting a net margin of 6.8%.
