Institutional Investors Raise Stakes in Pfizer
During the fourth quarter, a group of institutional investors increased their holdings in Pfizer Inc. Capital International Inc. added 182.3% to its position, bringing its stake to 353,156 shares worth about $8.8 million. Westfield Capital Management Co. LP bought a new position of 137,936 shares valued at roughly $3.4 million. Other large investors also expanded their stakes: Bank of New York Mellon lifted holdings by 38.9% to 48.5 million shares, Vanguard added 1.3% to 541 million shares, and Neuberger Berman increased its ownership by over 200% in the prior quarter. Overall, institutional investors now own about 68.4% of Pfizer’s stock. The company reported Q4 earnings of $0.75 per share, revenue of $14.45 billion and announced a quarterly dividend of $0.43 per share.
