Institutional investors trim holdings in Icon plc and Illumina

Brant Point Investment Management reduced its stake in Icon plc by 40%, selling 4,000 shares and holding 6,000 shares worth about $1.1 million after the fourth‑quarter filing. Other investors also adjusted positions in Icon, with Sanctuary Advisors, Geneos Wealth Management, New Wave Wealth Advisors, Signaturefd and Janney Montgomery Scott modestly increasing their holdings. Icon reported fourth‑quarter earnings of $2.52 per share, beating analysts' expectations, and posted revenue of $2.11 billion.

Kids Capital Management lowered its stake in Illumina by 12%, selling 12,000 shares and retaining 88,000 shares valued at roughly $11.5 million, representing 0.06% of the life‑sciences company. Several other institutional investors increased their Illumina positions, including JPMorgan Chase, Capital World Investors and Nordea Investment Management. Illumina posted earnings of $1.15 per share for the quarter, exceeding forecasts, with revenue of $1.09 billion.

Both companies beat analyst earnings estimates in their latest quarterly reports, while the portfolio adjustments reflect ongoing investor rebalancing in the biotech sector.
