Institutional investors trim stakes in Meta and Microsoft in Q1

Harbor Investment Advisory LLC reduced its Meta Platforms, Inc. position by 6.5% in the first quarter, selling 965 shares and ending the period with 13,820 shares worth about $7.9 million. The holding represents roughly 0.6% of the advisory firm's portfolio, making Meta its 29th largest stock.

Fruth Investment Management likewise cut its Microsoft Corporation holding by 11.2% during the same quarter, disposing of 1,860 shares and retaining 14,792 shares valued at approximately $5.5 million, or about 1.4% of its portfolio. Both filings were disclosed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

These adjustments occur amid broader activity among hedge funds and institutional investors, who collectively own the majority of both companies' shares, with institutional ownership exceeding 70% for Meta and around 71% for Microsoft.
