Instituto de Estudios Campogibraltareños aims for world-class library

Eduardo Briones Villares, director of the Instituto de Estudios Campogibraltareños (IECG), has outlined the organization's goals to become a premier center for research regarding the Campo de Gibraltar region in Spain.

Briones Villares noted that the institute has successfully revitalized its ten research sections, many of which had been inactive for years. A primary current objective is the development of a world-class library dedicated to the Campo de Gibraltar, supported by a subsidy from the Diputación. Additionally, the institute is expanding its digital presence to provide comprehensive information to global visitors and is working on the indexing of its magazine, ‘Almoraima’, to ensure quality certification.
