Instituto defeated Estudiantes de Río Cuarto 2-1 in a match for the ninth round of the Torneo Clausura, moving to the top of Zona A with 19 points. The victory places them ahead of Vélez and Defensa y Justicia.

The match was marked by an unusual goal in the second half when Estudiantes goalkeeper Lucas Brúera attempted to control a long-distance shot from defender Giuliano Cerato, only to inadvertently carry the ball into his own net. Leonel Mosevich later scored for Instituto, while a late own goal by Marcos Ledesma provided a consolation for the visitors.
