Instituto Mais Ação doubles social impact across 16 Brazilian states

The Instituto Mais Ação, a non-governmental organization based in Minas Gerais, has doubled its reach, now providing free sports activities to approximately 10,000 children and adolescents across 16 Brazilian states and 70 cities.

According to the 2025 ‘PIB do Esporte’ study by the Instituto Sou do Esporte, the national sports productive chain generates approximately R$ 183.4 billion annually, representing 1.69% of Brazil's GDP and supporting over 3.3 million direct and indirect jobs. The report highlights the high return on investment in the sector: every R$ 1 invested by the private sector generates a return of R$ 23, while government investment yields a return of R$ 12.

Founded in 2018 by volleyball coach Alexandre Seixas, the institute focuses on social inclusion through sports. Seixas noted that the expansion to 16 states demonstrates the transformative power of sports when supported by adequate planning.
