Instituto Nacional de Cancerología clarifies end of Famisanar contract

The Instituto Nacional de Cancerología (INC) has clarified that its contractual relationship with the EPS Famisanar ended on July 31 following the expiration of the agreed term. The INC stated that the termination was not a unilateral decision but resulted from the inability of both parties to reach new terms for a contract renewal.

This development occurs amid financial instability for Famisanar, which is currently under intervention by the Superintendencia Nacional de Salud and facing a liquidation order. Despite the end of the agreement, the INC assured that medical care for approximately 2,500 oncology patients affiliated with Famisanar has not been suspended.
