Instituto Profesional Santo Tomás receives 7-year excellence accreditation

The Instituto Profesional Santo Tomás (IPST) has been granted an accreditation of the Excellence Level for seven years by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación (CNA-Chile). This accreditation is valid until September 2033.

The certification covers mandatory dimensions including teaching, strategic management, institutional resources, quality assurance, and community engagement. Notably, the institution also received accreditation for the voluntary dimensions of research, creation, and innovation.

National Rector Juan Pablo Guzmán stated that the decision recognizes the IPST as a leader in the technical professional higher education subsystem. Daniel Olivares Camus, rector of the Viña del Mar campus, highlighted that the inclusion of community engagement and research dimensions demonstrates progress in preparing professionals who contribute to regional development.
