Instituto Superior Técnico opens scholarship applications

The Instituto Superior Técnico at the University of Lisbon has announced that applications for ‘Bolsas de Mecenato’ (Sponsorship Scholarships) for the 2026/2027 academic year will open on September 1. These grants, funded by private patrons and entities, aim to support undergraduate and master's students by mitigating socioeconomic challenges.

Applications must be submitted via the Connect platform by September 28, 2026. Depending on the specific scholarship, support may take the form of monetary payments, training, or accommodation. In the 2025/2026 academic year, the institute awarded 172 scholarships totaling approximately 290,000 euros, including new partnerships with entities such as Iberis Capital, MNPinho, Quadrante, and Engenheiro Carlos Morais.
