Mexican educational institutions celebrate major anniversaries

Several Mexican educational institutions are celebrating significant milestones. In Quintana Roo, the Instituto Tecnológico de Cancún marked its 40th anniversary, with Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa recognizing its role in regional development. Additionally, CECyTE Quintana Roo celebrated 30 years of operation, honoring staff and noting its growth to 9 campuses and over 14,000 students.

In Jalisco, CECyTEJ commemorated 30 years, reporting a student population of approximately 23,000 and a decrease in school dropout rates. Meanwhile, the Tecnológico de La Laguna in Coahuila celebrated its 61st anniversary, with Mayor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís encouraging students to leverage their training to meet industrial needs.

Other educational achievements include the graduation of 64 adults from the AlfabetizaTec program at TecNM Tijuana and the state of Zacatecas ranking third nationally in meeting educational goals for literacy and basic education through the Instituto Zacatecano de Educación para Adultos.
