Insurance claims at risk due to inaccurate medical history
A survey by FinGO.sk reveals that inaccuracies in medical questionnaires can lead to significant financial losses for policyholders. While 93% of respondents believe they could complete a health questionnaire accurately, approximately 20% admit they do not remember all their diagnoses, injuries, or medications.
Discrepancies or omitted information appear in roughly one out of every three insurance claims. This can result in the complete denial of payouts during critical life events. Additionally, 18% of respondents expressed concern that disclosing certain health issues might worsen their insurance terms, and 9% admitted they would be unwilling to share specific medical information with insurers.
