Insurance industry leaders discuss AI expansion at ITC Vegas

At the ITC Vegas conference, industry leaders and technology providers discussed the rapid evolution of the insurance sector driven by artificial intelligence. Tony Jacob, Head of Insurance at OpenAI, participated in a session organized by Insurtech Brasil, where he highlighted the potential for innovation in the Brazilian market. Jacob noted that OpenAI is expanding its global reach, specifically mentioning Brazil, Mexico, and Canada as key markets in the Americas, and indicated that the company intends to establish a dedicated team for Latin America in the future.

Additionally, the Argentine company La Segunda Seguros presented the risk prevention startup UiFlou at the event. The participation aimed to connect regional innovation from Rosario with the international technological ecosystem. Discussions at the summit emphasized how AI and automation are transforming the insurance value chain, including underwriting, claims processing, fraud detection, and customer experience.
