Insurance sectors in Argentina and Mexico face regulatory shifts

In Argentina, Alejandro Guerrero, CEO of Lockton Argentina, has expressed support for government-led deregulation aimed at fostering healthier market competition. Guerrero noted that the insurance sector has faced significant challenges, including reduced consumer demand due to economic disparities and financial difficulties stemming from unpaid reinsurance premiums during the previous administration.

In Mexico, the National Insurance and Bonding Commission (CNSF) has implemented stricter regulations to increase transparency within the industry. New requirements mandate that insurance institutions and mutual societies provide clear and precise details regarding contract terms, conditions, exclusions, deductibles, and coverage limits. These measures are intended to protect the interests of clients and beneficiaries while ensuring contractual documentation aligns with technical product notes.
