INTEC Apolo 27 team wins Israel Innovation Network award

Apolo 27 INTEC Israel Innovation Network NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge technological innovation

The Apolo 27 team from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) has won the Israel Innovation Network award from the ILAN foundation. This marks the first time the Dominican Republic has received this specific award for innovation and technology.

Representing the country in NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge, the team included students Pedro Rojas and Chantal Jiménez, mentored by Professor Ezequiel Díaz. During their visit to Israel, the delegation met with approximately 70 winners from across Latin America and participated in a reception with Israeli President Isaac Herzog at the Presidential Palace.

The experience included visits to various technology companies and academic institutions, as well as a visit to Israel Aerospace Industry (IAI) to observe the development and manufacturing of advanced systems.
