INTEC graduates first cohort of construction management specialists

Ten professionals have graduated from the Master of Science in Construction Management program at the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC). This marks the first cohort to complete the academic program established through scholarships provided by the Premios Inconcreto initiative.

The scholarship program is driven by Grupo Therrestra and Constructora Aybar, with support from various industry stakeholders. The initiative aims to strengthen technical, strategic, and management competencies within the Dominican Republic’s construction sector to enhance leadership and competitiveness.

During their studies, the graduates specialized in project planning and direction, resource management, cost administration, risk control, organizational leadership, and the application of updated regulations. Hugo Pérez Ovalles, president of Grupo Therrestra, stated that investing in the training of engineers and architects is an investment in the country’s development.
