Integral raises €18M Series A to automate accounting with AI

Berlin-based FinTech startup Integral has secured €18 million in a Series A funding round to expand its AI-driven accounting, tax, and payroll services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The round was co-led by Mosaic Ventures and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, with participation from existing investors Cherry Ventures, General Catalyst, and Puzzle Ventures. This brings the company’s total funding to over €30 million.

Founded in 2024 by Lukas Zörner and Anil Can Baykal, Integral utilizes an AI-native model that combines automated agents with licensed professionals. Unlike traditional software providers that offer tools to accounting firms, Integral integrates technology directly into its service delivery through its affiliated licensed audit and tax firm, Integral Tax.

Integral’s AI agents automate repetitive tasks such as reconciling invoices with bank transactions, creating bookkeeping entries, and preparing tax filings. Licensed professionals then review and sign off on these results to ensure accountability. The company reports that its AI agents already handle end-to-end bookkeeping for more than half of its clients, significantly reducing turnaround times and allowing professionals to double the number of clients they manage.
