Integratel faces legal setback and reports operational efficiencies in Peru

Integratel, the operator of the Movistar brand in Peru, is facing a legal setback in its dispute with América Móvil. The Fourth Civil Chamber of the Superior Court of Lima has annulled a previous ruling that had ordered Integratel to pay S/ 309.4 million in damages. The lawsuit, originally filed by América Móvil in 2012, stems from 2002 antitrust sanctions imposed by Osiptel against Telefónica del Perú. The court's decision to annul the sentence requires the case to be reviewed again in the 36th Civil Court of Lima.

Separately, Integratel reported financial results for the first nine months of 2026, showing S/ 294 million in operational efficiencies. The company achieved an EBITDA of S/ 545.4 million, an 18.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This growth occurred during a restructuring process aimed at cost reduction and strengthening fiber optic and mobile connectivity businesses.

Despite these operational improvements, Integratel's ordinary income fell by 13.8% to S/ 3,466 million during the first nine months of the year. The company attributed the decline in revenue to a commercial mix recomposition and the exit of lower-value channels to optimize profitability. While operating losses decreased, the accumulated net loss rose from S/ 507 million to S/ 680 million over the same period.
