Intel aims for RTX‑integrated CPUs by 2028 as AMD drops iGPU in 2027 Ryzen Zen 6

Intel is rumored to launch its first x86 processors with NVIDIA RTX graphics integrated in the same package for 2028. The planned "Titan Lake" and "Serpent Lake" mobile chips would combine up to eight performance cores, sixteen efficiency cores and a high‑performance NVIDIA GPU, offering RTX, DLSS and AI features without a separate graphics card. The move follows a recently confirmed partnership between Intel and NVIDIA and could target laptops, mini‑PCs and compact workstations.

AMD’s next desktop generation, Zen 6 on the Olympic Ridge platform slated for 2027, is said to include an on‑die neural‑processing unit (NPU) while removing the modest integrated GPU that has been standard on AM5 boards. The new CCD may feature up to 12 cores and 48 MB of L3 cache, supporting DDR5 memory and advanced profiles. The loss of the iGPU would require users to rely on a dedicated graphics card for basic video output, but the added NPU aims to bring local AI capabilities to mainstream desktop PCs.
