Intel and Nvidia target first integrated CPUs with RTX graphics by early 2028

Intel plans to release its first x86 processors that integrate Nvidia RTX graphics under the code name “Serpent Lake.” The chips will pair Intel’s Titan Lake CPU cores with a Nvidia Rubin‑based GPU, be fabricated on TSMC’s N3P node, support LPDDR6 memory and aim at high‑end laptop APU markets that currently use AMD’s Strix Halo designs. Intel’s roadmap signals a first‑quarter 2028 launch, with possible early reveal at CES, and initial shipments expected in the second or third quarter of 2027.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that rapid AI adoption is now a core driver of economic growth, noting Nvidia’s market valuation of roughly $5 trillion. He warned that AI data‑center power demand could strain electricity supplies, urging firms to consider energy costs and infrastructure when deploying AI workloads. Huang highlighted opportunities for companies supplying energy, cooling, fiber and interconnect equipment, while cautioning that firms lagging in AI integration may fall behind competitively.
