Intel Announces Diamond Rapids Server CPU and Core Ultra 9 Laptop Processor
Intel revealed its next‑generation server processor, codenamed Diamond Rapids, as an engineering sample. The Xeon‑class chip features 32 cores, 240 MB of L3 cache, a 1.1 GHz base clock, 64 MB of L2 cache and a 16‑channel memory design built on the enhanced 18A‑P process. The platform, called Oakstream, is slated for a 2027 launch and is positioned to compete with AMD’s upcoming EPYC offerings.
Separately, MSI announced the Titan 18 laptop equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX processor. The 24‑core, 24‑thread CPU can boost to 5.4 GHz and is paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070Ti GPU. The 18‑inch model ships with 16 GB DDR5, a 1 TB SSD, a 90 Wh battery and a 400 W power adapter, priced at 18,999 yuan and available for purchase on 11 August.
