Intel Core i5-4670K sets Cinebench R11.5 overclocking record

Overclocker Luumi has set a new world record for the Intel Core i5-4670K processor on the Cinebench R11.5 benchmark. Using liquid nitrogen for cooling, the 13-year-old Haswell-architecture CPU reached a frequency of 6,301 MHz, achieving a score of 10.8 cb.

The hardware configuration included an ASRock Z97 OC Formula motherboard and XPG DDR3 RAM running at 2,708 MT/s. This achievement breaks a record that had stood for approximately 12 years on the HWBot platform. The i5-4670K is a quad-core, four-thread processor originally released in 2013 with a base frequency of 3.4 GHz and a boost clock of 3.8 GHz.
