Institutional investors cut stakes in Intel and Newmont
Wasatch Advisors LP reduced its Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) holding by 25.6% in the first quarter, selling 19,655 shares and ending the period with 57,150 shares valued at about $2.5 million. The filing noted other major investors—Norges Bank, Capital World Investors, Vanguard and Morgan Stanley—have been increasing their Intel positions during recent quarters.
Sterling Capital Management LLC trimmed its Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) stake by 17% in the first quarter, selling 12,657 shares and holding 61,621 shares worth roughly $6.7 million after the sale. The report also listed new or expanded positions by several smaller investors and cited analyst upgrades and target‑price adjustments for Newmont.
