Intel leaks reveal Nova Lake and Raptor Lake Next CPU details

Leaked benchmark data and shipping manifests have provided significant insights into Intel’s upcoming processor roadmaps, specifically regarding the Nova Lake-S and Raptor Lake Next architectures.

Early PassMark benchmark results for the Nova Lake-S series, appearing under the generic designation ‘Intel 0000’, suggest high single-core performance. A 28-core sample reportedly achieved approximately 5,210 points, outperforming the current Core Ultra 9 285K and AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D in single-thread tasks. However, in multi-threaded tests, these samples trailed behind current flagship models.

Simultaneously, details regarding ‘Raptor Lake Next’ have emerged via shipping documents from Vietnam. This series is expected to extend the life of the LGA 1700 socket, offering compatibility with existing motherboards and DDR4 memory. Identified models include a high-end 16-core variant (99DLMV) with a 3.5 GHz base clock and a 20-core variant (99DLMT). These processors are intended to provide a budget-friendly upgrade path for users on older platforms.

Additionally, reports indicate that Windows 11 may soon leverage Intel’s Advanced Performance Extensions (APX) on Nova Lake chips to improve x86 efficiency against ARM-based architectures.
