Intel Nova Lake platforms pass USB and PCIe compliance tests
Intel's upcoming Nova Lake platforms have passed compliance and interoperability testing with the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) and PCI-SIG. These certifications allow the products to use official USB and PCIe logos.
According to the USB-IF Integrators List, Intel's mobile Nova Lake-H processors (Device IDs D331 and D333) comply with the USB4 80 Gbps specification, which aligns with expected Thunderbolt 5 support. The desktop Nova Lake PCH-S chipset (Device ID 6E6E) is compliant with the USB 3.2 Gen2 standard, supporting data transfer rates up to 20 Gbps.
Additionally, the PCI-SIG Integrators List includes the 900-series chipsets designed for Nova Lake-S processors. While some desktop Nova Lake processors expected to support USB4 are not yet listed, the early certification of specific chipsets and mobile CPUs is a standard preparatory step for the platform's anticipated launch in early 2027.
