Intel Nova Lake CPUs leaked with new naming and high cache

Leaked specifications for Intel’s upcoming Nova Lake CPU generation, potentially part of the Core Ultra 4000 series, suggest a shift toward a four-digit naming convention and improved power efficiency. According to data leaked by tech source LaurentsChoice, the flagship model may be designated as the Core Ultra 9 4970K BFC.

The flagship processor is expected to feature 28 cores, comprising eight performance cores, 16 efficiency cores, and four low-power cores. Notably, the leak indicates that top-tier models will not exceed a thermal design power (TDP) of 125W, signaling a continued focus on performance-per-watt.

A significant feature in the leak is the “BFC” designation, which refers to a large last-level cache (LLC) similar to AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology. This addition could provide up to 144MB of additional cache to boost gaming performance. The lineup is expected to include several models, such as the 4950K, 4870K, and 4650K, with integrated Intel Xe graphics included across the series.
