Intel Nova Lake-S leaks reveal high-performance integrated GPU

Leaked specifications for Intel's upcoming Nova Lake-S (Core Ultra 400S) desktop processors suggest a significant shift toward high-performance integrated graphics. One reported configuration features 16 cores (4 P-cores, 8 E-cores, and 4 LP-E cores) paired with a 12-core Xe3P integrated GPU.

Technical details indicate that the processor will have a base TDP (PL1) of 65W and a maximum power limit (PL2) of 154W. Notably, the integrated GPU is expected to have a dedicated PL2 of 40W, with a PL1 estimated between 15W and 25W. To support this performance, the chip may require motherboards with two dedicated VCCGT power phases to ensure the integrated graphics can reach full potential.

The 12-core Xe3P GPU is reported to include 20 MB of L2 cache, a 25% increase over the Panther Lake implementation. These advancements appear aimed at competing with AMD's Ryzen APU desktop products, potentially making entry-level systems without discrete graphics cards significantly more capable. A launch is tentatively expected in early 2027.
