Intel, Nutanix, and Microsoft announce major technology updates
Intel has increased its public offering of common stock from $15 billion to $20 billion. The company plans to market 210.5 million shares at $95 each, with an option for an additional 31.6 million shares, aiming for approximately $19.7 billion in net proceeds to fund investments and working capital.
In cloud technology, Nutanix has introduced an open-source MCP server. This tool connects AI assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to its Cloud Platform via Prism v4 APIs, covering over 1,000 API operations including networking, storage, and security.
Microsoft announced that the =COPILOT function in Excel, which integrates AI directly into formulas, will be removed on September 14, 2026. While the feature will no longer allow for the creation of new formulas, AI functions will remain available through the Copilot side pane.
