Cornerstone study finds joint CIO‑CHRO leadership accelerates AI‑driven workforce readiness
A new Cornerstone study of 2,000 IT and HR executives worldwide shows that companies where chief information officers and chief human‑resource officers share responsibility for workforce planning respond 13 % faster to AI‑driven change. Seventy‑seven percent of respondents say they are well prepared for AI‑driven decisions, rising to 87 % in the DACH region. Only 35 % of HR and IT managers currently make joint AI decisions, and 48 % work toward shared goals. The survey also highlights persistent skill gaps: half of the companies say skill gaps close too slowly, and 44 % report hiring decisions are delayed, while 41 % miss productivity targets. Overall, 65 % of executives report strong transformation pressure, with the DACH region at 74 %.
