Intel reportedly shifts 12-core Xe3P graphics to Razor Lake-S

Intel Nova Lake-S Razor Lake-S integrated GPU Xe3P architecture

Intel has reportedly altered its graphics strategy for the upcoming Nova Lake-S desktop processors. According to industry leaker Jaykihn, the company has abandoned plans to include a high-end integrated GPU featuring 12 Xe3P cores in the Nova Lake-S desktop lineup.

Instead, this powerful 12-core Xe3P configuration is expected to be reserved for a subsequent generation known as Razor Lake-S. While Nova Lake-S desktop models will likely still utilize the new Xe3P architecture, they are expected to feature more modest configurations compared to the mobile variants, which may still offer up to 12 cores.

The proposed 12-core design was reportedly derived from a mobile Nova Lake-H die. Such a large integrated GPU could have served small-form-factor systems and local AI workloads, but the high-end implementation has now been repositioned to the Razor Lake-S platform, which is expected to utilize the LGA 1954 socket.
