Intel stock could double in two years, analyst predicts
Melius Research analyst Ben Reitzes has issued a bold prediction that Intel stock could double in value within the next 24 months, potentially reaching 200 US dollars per share. This projection is based on a ‘sum-of-the-parts’ (SOTP) valuation.
Reitzes identifies Intel’s foundry business and its 14A manufacturing process as primary value drivers. He estimates that the foundry and product segments could each contribute 80 US dollars to the share price. The analyst suggests that the growing demand for domestic chip production driven by artificial intelligence makes the foundry division increasingly critical.
Furthermore, Reitzes views Intel’s August stock sale, which raised approximately 19.7 billion US dollars, as a sign of commitment to funding these foundry ambitions. He noted that the foundry division is vital for US national security given the current concentration of chip production in Taiwan, suggesting it could eventually function as a national champion for the US foundry industry.
