Intel to align Nova Lake-HX mobile branding with desktop Core Ultra 4000 series

Intel is reportedly planning to change the naming conventions for its upcoming Nova Lake-HX mobile processors to align more closely with its desktop lineup. According to industry insider Jaykihn, high-end Nova Lake-HX and certain mobile models will be branded under the Core Ultra 4000 series, matching the nomenclature used for desktop versions.

To provide better differentiation within the mobile segment, other models such as Nova Lake-P, Nova Lake-U, and Lago Nova-UL will be categorized under the Core Ultra 400 series. This move appears intended to address user confusion regarding previous naming schemes.

In addition to these upcoming changes, Intel's current processor suffixes provide specific technical information. For desktop models, the 'K' suffix indicates overclocking capabilities, 'F' denotes the absence of integrated graphics, and 'KF' combines both features. The 'V' suffix is associated with the Lunar Lake architecture within the Core Ultra 200V series.
