Intel to Stagger 2027 Core Ultra 400S Desktop Processor Rollout

A leak of Intel’s internal roadmap reveals that the company will introduce its Nova Lake‑S desktop CPUs, branded as Core Ultra 400S, throughout 2027 in several waves. The first quarter will see the launch of 28‑core models featuring an expanded big last‑level cache (bLLC) aimed at gamers and positioned against AMD’s Ryzen X3D. In the second quarter the K‑series with an unlocked multiplier will appear, followed by 16‑core and 8‑core variants. From May to September 2027 the flagship 52‑core, high‑performance part for the HEDT segment is scheduled for release.

The new chips will run on a LGA1954 socket and combine Coyote Cove performance cores with Arctic Wolf efficiency cores, supporting DDR5 memory up to 8,000 MT/s. Intel will adopt the Core Ultra naming, skipping the Ultra 300 series and extending the Core Ultra family beyond its previous desktop lineup.
